The Little Things

Hello,

Happy Thursday to you all!

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Scrap-a-Thon Challenge #3 (HOP3).  Here's the sketch we had to use:

And this is what I created:
This is my step dad with Lynn and Andrew (and I'm in the smaller photo).

Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Honeycomb Stencil: Home Made
Mist: Distress Ink watered down
Ribbon
Chipboard Title
Folder Tabs Stencil
Glitter Gems: Home Made
Flowers/Leaves
Rosettes: Home Made
Heart Brad
Distressing

I created this honeycomb stencil from pp that I had.  Thought it came out pretty good.  I used spray tacky stuff on the back of it so it would stay in place when I misted.  The mist is Distress Stain that I watered down.

The center rosette is what I made.  The gems are my newest fad to make!!  They're addicting because they're so fun to make!

I added a trio of leaves under the satin rosette.  I cut a small circle from pp and distressed the edges before adding a heart brad as the center of the flower.  The home made gems were added to each flower.  Cream ribbon shoots out from under the flower grouping.

Here's a closer look at the flower.

And a better look at the gems.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day!
