Halloween Cards

Hi there,
Wanted to get this post out today.  I made a couple of Halloween cards!

Soul Scrappers http://soul-scrappers.ning.com/ is having a
World Card Making Day (WCMD) Challenge.  You can choose Christmas,
Halloween or Thanksgiving themes.  The deadline is October 12th!

Here are my cards:

It's been awhile since I've made Halloween cards, so it was fun to dust off my SU stamps,
dig out my Halloween papers and create!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Ink: Vivid! Brown
Scarecrow Stamp: Stampin' Up! Happy Fall Y All
Watercolor Pencils
Sentiment: Hampton Art Stamps
Lace: Webster's Pages

I used watercolor pencils to add a little color to the stamped image.
Lace was added across the center of the card and the sentiment stamped under the image and all
the edges were lightly inked.

I tried this card, moving away from the traditional Halloween colors.  I love how it
turned out!  The colors are not bright and vibrant but soft, which tones down this Halloween card,
but still making it fun.  All the edges were lightly inked.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Ribbon: Webster's Pages
Stamps: Heidi Grace Designs
Ink: Vivid! Brown

This ribbon is so sweet!  Love it!

Both sketches are from Splitcoast Stampers http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/.

Thanks for looking and hope you like my cards.

Our Easter Dog

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying your Wednesday.

Since Easter is just around the corner, I thought I'd post another Easter card.  I curled the petals of the flower upwards to give it some depth.  The cute little girly Easter bunny is heat embossed.  Love this stamp!
Supplies used:
Purple cardstock and striped paper:  DCWV, White cardstock
White ribbon
Clear embossing powder
Stamp: Hampton Art Clear Samps
Ink:  A la mode Lavender

And here's Zoe, our Easter Dog!  Isn't she the cutest?!?!?!  It's true, she doesn't look too happy here.  I was trying to get her into the Easter spirit!  Can't you just hear her saying, "Why are you making me wear these?"  In fact, she was the happiest after I took those bunny ears off her.... jumping around, all excited and smiling.  Yes, our dog smiles! (If you have a dog, doesn't yours smile?)  It's so funny!

She's our very spoiled dog and we love her dearly!  I always say, "See what our animals have to put up with from their owners!"   :)

Have a wonderful day!

Can You Tell I LOVE RED?!?!?!

Hi there!

Here's a layout I love, all because of RED.

I cut strips of fabric, then sewed along one edge and gathered to create this cute flower.  I knotted a piece of ribbon and used it for the center.

Oh my!  I just realized how fast Easter is creeping up on me!  Thought I'd better work on some Easter cards!  Here's a few that I made today.  Super easy and so fun to make!
Enjoy!

I used water color pencils for the eggs, coloring lightly to keep the pastel Spring feel.

Since this little Easter bunny girlie girl was stamped on shiny paper, I heat embossed it.  She's so cute!

Have a wonderful day!
