Warm Wishes Christmas Card

Hello everyone!

Happy "day-before" Thanksgiving!!

I have a few projects to share that I've been working on. 

My first project is a card that's mostly white with pops of red, which was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Negative Punched Image Card Challenge (CC23).  

The challenge is to use punches or dies to create a negative image.

Here's my Christmas card:

Sorry for the bad lighting... It's a gloomy, rainy day here.

For those of you who don't already know this... I LOVE making all white cards!  They're my fave!

But this time, I added pops of red on my Christmas card.

Supplies used:

Paper: Colorbok, White Cardstock

Ink: Red

Mitten Punch

Holly Leaf

As you can see, I used the mitten punch on the lower right of my card.  I then covered a small piece of paper with ribbon and placed it behind the punched image and added a holly leaf.

After embossing the sentiment, I lightly pressed a red ink pad on top of it to highlight the raised areas.

Merry Christmas Card

Hello everyone!

I hope you're having a good day... even though it is MONDAY!

I have a card to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for the Anniversary Party Challenge #3 (AP3).  You can see the challenge here.

Simply use EMBOSSING on your card.

This is my Christmas card:

The same embossing folder was used for both the green and white cardstock.  A 3D tag was added as the main focal point.  The sentiment is a clear sticker.

Birthday Card

Home Is Where The Heart Is

I have a layout to share with you today that was submitted at Home and Scrapped for their Page Title (Quote) Challenge (NOV13-JOY).  You can see the challenge here.

This is our son relaxing at home while on leave for the month of July.  It was SO cool having him home... and the month went by totally too fast!!

The heart was misted with Perfect Pearls, twine wrapped around it and tied in a bow and adhered with pop dots.

The fence was misted with two different mists and dabbed with a paper towel to blend it together.

The background was created using Gesso and stencil.

Twine was knotted at the top of the key and the word "Home" adhered with pop dots.

Tri-fold Shutter Birthday Card

Hello,

Here's a card that was submitted at Sketches 4 All as an example for the Technique Challenge (Nov 4) that I'm hosting.  I hope you will stop by and check it out.  You can see the challenge here.

The challenge is to use "leaves" on your project... any project... the choice is yours.  Just use leaves!  Pretty simple, right?

Here's my tri-fold shutter Birthday card:

Super fun card to make!  If you haven't made one of these... you should.  There are lots of templates online for you to choose from.

Rub on Sentiment

The left side of the card.  I added a cluster of flowers and leaves.

The right side of my card with another cluster.

And here's the center of the card.  The shape was cut using one of my Nestabilities dies.

The sentiment is a rub on.

A closer look at the leaves.  I simply folded the ends of the leaves for some dimension.

And here's a look at the card lying flat.

As you can see, there are lots of leaves!  Leaves cut using my Sizzix die, leaves on the ribbon above and below the sentiment and there are also leaves on the pp behind the sentiment.

And now for a look at some of the leaves I've gathered just for you.  :)  I started digging through my stash and I realized that I have quite an assortment of leaves!  There are beautiful Fall colored leaves on the wire ribbon (lower left)... as well as store bought leaves (top of photo).

A closer look.  There are foam leaves, sequin leaves, leaves from embroidery embellies, glitter leaves, leaves on the black embroidery ribbon.  The gold mesh leaves were hand cut from a wide ribbon.

Purchased felt leaves, mulberry paper, vellum and felt cut using my Sizzix die.  The pp has leaves on it.

A Bootiful Night

Hi there,

It's a chilly one out there!  And it's only going to get colder... Bleh!

I have a tri-fold card to share that was submitted at Turtle Soup for their October Mini Crop - Bev's Fall Inspired Challenge.

Here's my "Let Us Give Thanks" card:

Inspiration was taken from the 1st photo (pumpkins & leaves)... and from the 2nd photo (pp colors).

I've been wanting to make "different" cards for some time now... and recently cut several shaped cards and folded cards to use.

This is my Fall card with lots of leaves and pumpkins.  The pp is Fall colored also.

Here's a view of the card standing up.

The front of the card.  The sentiment was distressed along the edges and matted onto pp.  Sheer ribbon was added behind the sentiment.  Foam leaves are in the upper corner.

The center of my card.  Over the clear scarecrow sticker, I added a fence that was inked and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Twine was knotted around one of the fence posts and tied in a bow.

The last part of my card.  Another clear sticker and foam leaves.
