Many Thanks Card

Hello,

I have a card to share that was submitted at Turtle Soup for their Friday Nov 1 Inspiration Challenge.

I decided to make a Thank You card... as I can never seem to have enough of these!
I used a matting around the card.  The center strip was embossed.  Gems in the flower centers are home made and the sentiment is a rub on.

Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye, White Cardstock
Prima Flowers
Ribbon
Darice Embossing Folder
Rub on Sentiment
Gems: Home Made
Sketch: Splitcoast Stampers (SC423)

And here's my layout titled, "Adventure."
These photos are from our adventure hike/climb up Katahdin at Baxter State Park a few years ago.

Together

Hello there,

Went for a walk and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Fall weather we're having!  Poor Zoe had fun at first... but after 15 minutes... she was getting tired and I had to turn around and come back home.  Our Zoe-dog just doesn't have the "oomph" like she used to... and is starting to show her age.  So, needless to say, I was very glad to go for a 1/2 hour walk... with our bright orange on.

This layout was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their October 7th Word Prompt Wednesday Challenge (TOGETHER).  You can see the challenge here.

The criteria:  Create your project based on the word "Together" or however it inspires you.

Here's my layout titled, "Together."
This is one of my fave photos... even though my eyes are closed!!  Such a bugger... because this was a frameable photo to add on my walls!  This photo was taken in July.  Our daughter was drilling and we decided to stop in and see her.

Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co., Colorbok, My Mind's Eye
Die Cut Borders
Words & Page Title: Cut from pp
Flowers & Stems
Prima Flowers
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Gems: Home Made
Fiskars Corner Punch
Sketch: By Jana Eubank

The page title was cut from pp and matted several times.

The flower grouping is a mixture of Prima and other flowers and the stems with clear gems on them was included in a bouquet that was purchased.  The gems are home made.

In the very corner of the photo I used a corner punch and added a darker green cardstock behind it.

Various words were cut from pp, matted and adhered below the photo.

A cardstock border strip was cut and added along the top and bottom of my page.

A closer look at the flowers, gems, etc.

Another look.

Max

Hi there,

I haven't scrapped a layout about Maxwell for awhile... and when I came across these photos... they were perfect for this sketch!

This layout was submitted at Scrap Much for their Sketch-y Friday Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.

This is the sketch:

My layout is aptly titled, "Max."
This is our daughter's dog, Max.  He's such a little character!  In the top photo he is holding on for dear life his chew bone and in the bottom photo he heard a "noise" and his full attention was in that direction.  So funny!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Ribbon
Prima Flowers
Glitter Letters
Gems: Home Made

The title was added above the photos.  A single flower and home made gem was also placed here.

Here's my flower cluster.  Ribbon goes diagonally through the page.  More home made gems.

And here's a closer look.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good Times

Hello,

Here's a layout that was submitted at My Scraps and More Sketches for their Sketch #48.  You can see the challenge here.

This is the sketch:

And here's my layout titled, "Good Times."
This is Andrew and I at Chimney Pond at Baxter State Park in 2009.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Prima Flowers
Beads
Bling
Walnut Ink Mist
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
Marker
Folder Tab

A punched border was added along the top of my page.  The flower center is a metal bead.

I misted along the bottom portion and under the banner on the left.
The words were already on the pp... so cool!  To highlight the page title a bit more... I added a cluster of bling and a flower.

The folder tab was hand cut and another flower added just below it.

Here's a closer look at the bling!

Historical Vacation

Hello,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Colorful Creations for their Sketchy Tuesday Challenge (STSeptember).  You can see the challenge here.

This is the sketch:

And here's what I created titled, "Historical Vacation."
We had an awesome day trip to see some of the historical sights in our home State.

The sketch has three photos... but I chose to use only one and cut it into thirds.

Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co., DCWV, Colorbok
Prima Flowers
Gems: Home Made
Sticker Page Title
Key Embellie
Leaves
Various Stickers
String
marker
Fiskars Border Punch
Ribbon:  Webster's Pages

The date was added on the circle and stamps and various stickers around it.

Under the banner is my page title with a cute little key embellie added too.

A punched border and ribbon are to the left of the photos with a flower and leaves.

Here's a better look at the banners and flower on each end of it.

We are FAMILY

Hi there,

Bummer of a day today.  We had to bring our son to the airport yesterday!  So today it's pretty quiet around our house.  :(
And to top it all off...... it's raining!  Which makes it even worse!
Double bummer!!!

Well, I have a layout to share that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Song/Lyric Challenge (SLC24).  You can see the challenge here.

Here are the lyrics for 'WE ARE FAMILY' by Sister Sledge

(CHORUS:)
We are family
I got all my sisters with me
We are family
Get up ev'rybody and sing

Ev'ryone can see we're together
As we walk on by
(FLY!) and we fly just like birds of a feather
I won't tell no lie
(ALL!) all of the people around us they say
Can they be that close
Just let me state for the record
We're giving love in a family dose

(CHORUS x2)

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights
(HIGH!) high hopes we have for the future
And our goal's in sight
(WE!) no we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in you and the things you do
You won't go wrong
This is our family Jewel

Here's what I created using the title of the song, "We are Family"
This is one of the family photos taken shortly after our daughter returned from deployment.  Our son is overseas...

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok
Flowers
Prima Flowers
Gems: Home Made
Decorative Ribbon: Webster's Pages
Title Sticker Letters: Chatter Box

For the 3 "dots" after the words... I used the half domes from the letters in the "e's."  Hey... it worked!  :)

There really wasn't much to add to this page... since the pp is so pretty.  I simply added two flowers in the top corner with home made gems.

The rest of the flowers were added on each corner of the photo.

Here's a closer look at this beautiful trim!
