Here's a layout that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Sketch Challenge (SC63).

And what I created.  The title on my page is different from the sketch.... but that's the fun of using sketches... you get to "move" stuff around!  :)

Perfect title for my page!

I wrapped this cute lace ribbon in a circle onto a piece of cardstock and added the oval and heart which were cut from pp.

 

Another pp cut out.  I distressed the edges slightly.

For the lower left of my page, I added ribbon and more pp cut outs and also distressed the edges.

Happy Birthday Card

Hello!

I made another card!  Woo hoo!

This was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Scarp-a-Thon Challenge #4 (Hop4).

The challenge is to draw inspiration from this photo to create your project... and also use at least 3 colors from the photo.

Using a sketch from Page Maps (Sept 2008), here's what I created:

From the inspiration photo, I used the colors: yellow, white and pink.

 I curled each of the petals to create some dimension and misted the flowers.  The center glitter gem is what I made using a glue gun and glitter.

Everything's Waiting for You

Hello,

I have a layout to share with you that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Song & Lyric Challenge (SLC20).  The song is "Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac and the challenge is to use word(s) from the song to create your project.

Here's what I created:

 

This is our son during his graduation ceremony.  Love these photos of him and wonder what he's thinking.

I chose the words from the song:  "Everything's waiting for you."

  I dusted off my mini alphabet stamps to create my title.  The diploma sticker was adhered with pop dots.

The stickers were adhered to cardstock, trimmed with pop dots under them.

Thinking of You Card

I have a card to share that was created for Sketches 4 All for their Scrap-a-Thon Challenge #1 (Hop1).

The challenge is a recipe challenge and creating your project using at least 4 of the items listed below.

 I didn't have the "right" ink color so I used the darker ink and added white embossing powder to it, which "toned down" the bright pink color.

 

Here's a closer look at the flowers and buttons.  I used a punched border just below the flowers.  A strip of pink rick rack was also used under the flowers, but it doesn't show.

Witchy Woman

Hi there,

It's been wicked COLD in our area.  Brrrr!  Feels like (gasp) winter all over again!  I keep reminding myself that it's Spring, it's really Spring.  But, I'm not buying it at this point.  When that bitter wind whipped my hair around my face and stopped my breath for a second... yup... it's COLD!

I figured that EVENTUALLY it will warm up!!  It HAS to!!

I have a super cool layout to share that was submitted at Archi-scraps for their April Inspiration Photo Challenge.
I am thrilled to announce that I am a Design Team Member at Archi-scraps... so creating a challenge each month to showcase is totally fun and such an honor!

Ok, now for the Challenge.
This is the inspiration photo:

Think Gothic, haunted, castles, Halloween, spooky and spiders, bats and mummies.

The criteria is to use Chipboard on your layout.

Here's what I created:

This is my dear friend, Julie.  Once again I am showcasing her on my page.  She's so full of fun and that's probably the reason I love to create scrapbook pages about her.

We dressed up for Halloween for work quite a few years ago and Julie went as a witch.  I snapped this photo of her while she was sitting at my desk talking on the phone.

I used the spookiest papers I had (Halloween papers), lots of black and chipboard too.

The ribbon was stapled randomly and misted before adhering to my page.  I twistedtwo strands of rope together and knotted them at each corner of the photo.

 

I found these black flowers with white pearl centers in my stash.  I really never thought I would use "black" flowers... but here they are!

The fence was distressed by pulling pieces off and distressing it before misting.  My background paper was also misted.

Here's the other fence, which was tucked just under the photo.  

The glitter letters were added a bit haphazardly on top of the ribbon and flowers.  Because they were self-adhesive, they stayed right where I put them.

Here's another photo showing the dimension on my page. 

 

I peeled off the top layer of the circle and misted it with a couple different mists, then added glitter paint with a paper towel to create the marbleized effect.  Love how this turned out!

Here's a closer look at the chipboard and the furry ribbon which was added across the top portion of my page to hide where the two papers came together.

This layout was created for hosting my Song Challenge at Colorful Creations (aprsong7).  I provide you with the lyrics to a song that I've chosen and from the lyrics you create a project using word(s) from the song.

The song I chose is "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper.  Here are the lyrics:

Here's my example layout using a sketch from Stickers N Fun (Nov 2007):

 

 Our daughter and her friend at a ceremony to honor Veteran's on Memorial Day.  They were so excited to march in the Parades!

I added a circle glitter tag under the flower.  I left the original center on the pink flower and added a smaller flower above and a butterfly beside the flower.

Ribbon was added below the photo and on the tiny glitter tag.  A pearl was added on the white flower.

 Here's a look a the left side of my page, just below the photo.

Various flowers were layered with pearls added in their centers.

The letters blended in with the background paper more than I wanted, so I dug out my markers and traced around the larger letters.

A glitter bracket was added to the right of my page title.

Here's a closer look at the bracket.  Isn't it sweet!?!

Something I found in my flower stash and added it here.  Fits in perfectly!

I added a strip of lace fabric under the photo.
