I have another layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Let's Get Cooking #4 Challenge (LGC4).  The challenge is to use 3 items in a row on this Tic-Tac-Toe board.

I decided to go diagonal and use Kraft Paper, Twine & Stamping.

Here's what I created:

This is my son and I at a Boy Scout hike.  It was a beautiful fall day and we were lovin being outside to enjoy the colors of Fall.

I'm not sure if this is called a "bubble" sticker, but it's raised in the center.

I journaled over the stamped background image.

I played around with the twine for awhile, not really knowing what shape I wanted to create... and ended up with this heart.

Here's a better look at the stamped squares and twine above and below the strip of squares.

 

 I misted the Kraft paper with a brownish mist that I made.

Sweet Baby Girl

Here's my layout which I submitted at Colorful Creations for their Random Wednesday March 13 Challenge (rwmar).  The challenge was to use soft colors and lots of bling.

Here's what I created:

I added the tiny circle stickers over the word "Baby" which was misted with a couple different mists and lightly inked along the edges.

 Here's a better look at my title.

I tucked the end of the bling under the paper.  It's actually a bit darker than I wanted, but I went with it.

 

I added this swirly bling to the right of the photo.

A look at the right side of my page.  I used a border punched paper along the right of the photo.

My title was complete by adding "girl" on the loop of the "y."

Cool Cat

I hope you're having a fabulous Wednesday!

Here's my layout which was submitted at Colorful Creations for their Twisted Blueprints Challenge (twistedmar).  Here's the sketch:

 

The TWIST:  Use a pin and distressing.

Here's what I created:

This is our son and best friend dressing up our loveable cat, Tom.  He doesn't look too impressed with having "people" clothes on!!

I used a stick pin to the right of the photo.  I distressed most of the cardstock die cuts and some papers.

Supplies used:

I used a thick marker to trace around the "cat head" and used mini stamps to stamp the title.

 

I curled the ribbon under the photo.  The banner letters were cut from pp.  It doesn't get easier than that!  :)

 

Another die cut from my stash.  I distressed the edges lightly.  I didn't want to tear off the whiskers I cut around!  

 This is the sweetest die cut!  I distressed the papers behind the cat.

I have another layout to share that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Around the World 3 Challenge (ATW3).

We are provided with several photos from a different Country each month and we're to create a project from the inspiration from these photos.

Here are this month's inspiration photos from Ireland:

 

 

Aren't these beautiful photos?

I drew inspiration from the first photo of people playing musical instruments.  I was inspired by:

1.  The colors of brown and black.

2.  The musical instruments.

3.  The large letters in the background (the reason why I used the swirls on my page).

This is my layout:

These photos are of our son and his best friend marching in their High School Band for the Memorial Day Parades.  They were both asked to play TAPS, which was so totally cool!

Supplies used:
Paper: Kraft, Colorbok, Other

Stars: Cut from pp

Pop Dots

The swirls were cut from pp.  I love these swirls!  The background paper was misted.

The stars were cut from the pp and adhered only in the centers, so the tips would remain lifted off the page.  The sticker title was adhered onto black cardstock, trimmed and added on top of the stars with pop dots.

 

 I did the same with these stickers... adhering them onto black cardstock and adhering them to the page with pop dots.

Here's a better look at the gold swirls along the right of my page.

I adhered an additional two stars on the lower corner of the photo.

Hello,

Usually Monday is my yucky day... but today... well, this day really takes the cake, as they say!!  Good grief... I've been so "confused" today!  It's driving me crazy.  I've been working on several projects at once and getting them all mixed up... and my desk was totally covered with papers and projects!  Ugh!

Then I decide to COOK (cabbage rolls)!  I was seriously nervous about it.  Thank goodness I didn't burn anything or leave an ingredient out.  That's about the only thing I did right today!  And it actually tasted yummy!

So I asked my hubby if he wanted a dessert.... then I go upstairs and totally forget about making the dessert!  He finally yells, "Well, are you making it?"  Oh yeah... I forgot!  It gets worse.  I came downstairs and in that short span of time, I forgot what I was supposed to do!  Wow!  This is not my day!

I will be glad when this day is over!

Now I'm going to tackle a few posts.  Wish me luck!

I used these cute little circle letter stickers for my title.  They had soft colors too, which worked perfectly with my page.

 I added a small strip of punched border along the left of the photo.

Rather than leave the ribbon flat to the page, I decided to make a few loops to add some interest to the ribbon.

I tucked a doily under the photo and added flowers and pearls.

I added the buttons on the upper right of the photo.

Here's a closer look at the flowers.  I misted them with several mists before adding the pearls.

I misted the paper doily and added embossing powder and heat embossed it.  Something different I thought I'd try.  Love how it turned out.  You can see some of the shine on the flowers from the mist.
