Hello Tag

Hello,

I have another tag to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Scrap-a-Thon Challenge #2 (Hop2).  The challenge was to make anything other than a card or layout.

The challenges are running until Sunday, April 7th, so you still have time to head on over there and check out all the fun challenges.  There's sure to be something for you to get those creative juices flowing!

Here's my cute little tag:

 Papers are Colorbok and DCWV.  I added a wide ribbon under the flower and because the ribbon was so wide, I folded it in half and stapled it to the top of the tag.  The white flower was misted with a couple different Pearl Mists and an Epoxy brad added as the center.  Rub ons were added along the top portion of my tag.

Family Vacation

Hi,

Have you ever made an Interactive Layout?  Well, I haven't... so this was a challenge indeed.  And it was FUN too!!

I submitted my interactive layout at Soul Scrappers (THC60).  The challenge was to create your project using at least 3 embellies.

Here's what I created:

This is the outside of my layout.  I cut some shapes from pp and added flowers and my home made gems.  All the shapes were distressed too.  I found these plastic tie-downs in my stash and knew they would be perfect for my page.  I used a red marker to the tops of the tie-downs and adhered the string on one of the tabs so it wouldn't fall off.  The two keys were cut from recycled cardboard with my Sizzix die and misted.  Papers are Colorbok and I think the flowers are Prima.

This is the center layout where I added the print out of San Antonio, twill banners and flowers.

When the flaps on the right side are opening up.

The glitter gems are what I made.  So fun to make!  I added the title sticker, slightly tucked under one flower.  The keys were tied together with string and adhered to the page.

Climb Up & Up

Hello!

I have several posts that I want to add to my Blog... trying to "catch up!"  But do we ever "catch up?"  :)

This layout was created for my very FIRST Challenge at Sketches 4 All as a NEW Design Team Member.  I decided on a challenge using CORRUGATED CARDBOARD on your project.

My challenge can be found here and will run for the month of April.  So, you have time to hop on over to Sketches 4 All and check out all the fun challenges they are offering.  It's a great way to get those photos scrapped... and make a few cards to have on hand for when you need them.

Here's what I created using a sketch from Stickers N Fun (Dec 2008).  I found a photo that I thought was perfect for my theme.

 

This is our son, grandson and daughter checking out the beginning stages of Andrew's tree house.  It was quite "high" up there and I was comfortable staying on the ground!

I used corrugated cardboard as a mat under the photo.  The leaves, fence and flowers are corrugated cardboard also.

Supplies used:

Twine

 

The fence was distressed by peeling off portions of the top layer and scrunching it a bit and finally misting it.  I added a twine bow on the fence also.

 At the top of the corrugated cardboard, I distressed the large banner.  The ribbon was wrapped around the c.cardboard and then I continued another piece of ribbon to finish going to the top of the page.  It was fun to "break" up the line of the ribbon.  The c.cardboard was torn, distressed, inked and misted.

The leaves were also distressed and misted with several mists and ending with a green mist.

I peeled off the top layer of each chipboard letter... only because the colors didn't match.  Then I misted them.

I peeled the top layer of each petal and curled them a bit.  Glass beads were added as the flower center.

 Here's a closer look at another flower.  Rather than peel the petals apart, I just curled each petal up.

Hello Card

Hi!

I've been doing a lot of card-making today!  Getting back into the groove of making cards!  I didn't realize how much I've missed it!  So this was a fun day!

Here's a card I made the the Sketches 4 All Scrap-a-Thon for Stacy's Challenge #10 (HOP10), which is still going on right now.

It's actually a pretty "plain" card.  I did mist the banners, border punch and paper on the left.

 I curled the edges of the banners up a bit for some dimension.

On one of the triangle banners I added strips of the thin ribbon, just for something different.

Little Princess

Hi there,

I came upon this sketch at Stuck on U Sketches and HAD to try it out.  I loved the negative space, which is ironic because I love "filling" up a page!

I'm addicted to making these cute little gems!  They're so fun... except for when I want to make glitter ones... then I have a massive mess in my craft room with the fine glitter everywhere, including all over my face!!  I didn't really notice how much glitter I had on my face until I looked closely in the mirror... Wowzaa!!

This is my flower grouping just under the photo.

The title was cut from pp.  Doesn't get much easier than that!!

Here's a closer look at my flowers, glitter gems and bling.  The mint green rosette is what I made.  And all the glitter gems are what I made.  Aren't they the cutest!! 

The cute little dress was cut from pp and distressed along the edges and only adhered on one corner, so the rest of it would follow the shape of the flowers.

Here's the cute epoxy brad!  Love these!   Here's a better look at one of my glitter gems too!

I added the mini tag and a glitter gem at the top.
