Doin' My Part...

Hi there,
Another snowstorm is hitting us... full speed ahead and going to dump 12-18 inches of the fluffy white stuff!  And the wind will be blowing it all around.  It's supposed to go strong until Friday afternoon.  Should be interesting around here for awhile.
I'm very glad we don't have to be out on the roads!

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Sketch N Scrap for their Holiday Bonus Sketch challenge.  This is the sketch:

And here's my layout:
The pink strip in my hair... it's really such a small thing to do, but at least it's something.
And ALL the proceeds (my hairdresser receives) is going towards CA.  It was such a bright pink strip of hair at first... and I really liked it.... but it faded after a few days.  :(
Next year I'm going bolder and will get a huge strip colored on the top of my hair rather than underneath, so it "shows" better!

I changed the sketch a bit.  Rather than add embellies on the left side, I added them on the right.

Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co., Colorbok
Ribbons
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Rosettes: Hand Made
Bling Swirls: Forever in Time
Tag
Font: Cricut Stamped
Cricut
Gold Letters
Large Background Flower (traced from cardstock shape)
Self-adhesive Pearl

One swirl wasn't enough, so after playing around with how to add them on my page, I arranged the two swirls into a heart.  How cute is that?  :)

I added the border across the bottom and two ribbons on top of that.

Here's my  l---o---n---g  title!

I made the rosettes using satin ribbon for the larger one and glitter ribbon for the smaller ribbon.

These cute gold letters are truly a pain to adhere!  I found a stack of these at a garage sale last year.  Since the letters are so little, I didn't think I would ever use them.  But, they're just too cute... so I had to fight with them!  Wow, I need to find a better way to adhere these tiny letters!

Rather than tie a ribbon through the hole in the tag, I folded the ribbon "under" it, and used a swirl of bling around the punched hole.  Ribbon was scrunched on the other side.  The edges of the tag were distressed.

Have a wonderful day!
Libby  :)
