Boy Scout Camp

Hi there,

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their November Color Combo (NOVCOLOR) Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.

The color palette:

And here's my layout:
Andrew and I at Boy Scout Camp.  Seven days of non-stop fun!  Even more special because Andrew was there with me!  We had a LOT of fun times!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, Other
Stencils
Walnut Ink Mist
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
Distressing
Circle Punch
Star Punch
Ribbon
Buttons
Vellum Quotes
EK Success Border Punch
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Cardstock Die Cut
Sketch: Page Maps (Feb 2012)

A couple of ribbons were layered over the punched border.  Just below that another ribbon with buttons on it.

This huge cardstock die cut was cut from packaging.  Journaling was added above that and beside the photo.  I embossed the tan cardstock on one side of this strip.

Well.... this is a bit blurry!  I used two different stencils to mist on the background paper and the cardstock on the right of the photo.

Most of the paper edges were distressed.  I added a circle and stars to the right of the photo.  Just had to add the vellum "Where is North?" too!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Autumn Colors

Hi there!

I have another layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their November DT Color Challenge (NOVDT).  You can see the challenge here.

Hope you can play along too!

The color palette:
The theme is Fall.

And here's my "Autumn Colors" layout:
Here's a look at the beautiful scenery as I'm driving into town.  I can never get enough of the wonderful colors!

I used all the colors from the palette.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Kraft
Fiskars Border Punch
EK Success Border Punch
Chenille Ribbon
Sticker Page Title
Sheer Ribbon
Leaves Stencil
Walnut Ink Mist
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
Glitter Leaves
Gems: Home Made
Pop Dots
Sketch: Page Maps

A couple of glitter leaves were added just below the photo.

Three gems are beside the photo.  The page title is above the punched edge.

I recently purchased this leaves stencil and couldn't wait to use it!  So glad it turned out ok the first time around!  :)

Chenille ribbon was threaded through the punched slots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

World's Greatest (Grand) Kid

Hello,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their October Color Combo Challenge (Octobercolors).  You can see the challenge here.

The sketch:

The color palette:

Aren't these yummy colors?

Here's my layout titled, "World's Greatest (Grand) Kid."
Dylan and I last month.  If I can get him to take a photo with me unexpectedly... he doesn't have time to make a funny face!  Ha!  :)

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Ribbon
Buttons
Webbing
Pop Dots
Staple
Aluminum Pumpkin
Clear Stickers
Pumpkin Die Cut
Marker

I matted the clear sticker onto black cardstock and drew a little bubble to add "Grand" and adhered it with a pop dot.

Found this cut stacked pumpkins die cut in my stash.  I added the webbing, which isn't a color from the palette... Oh well.

I wrapped some webbing around the tag and stapled ribbon on one end.  The aluminum pumpkin was traced and cut, painted and the face stamped on it.

Another look.  Ribbon was added along the bottom and I also added faux stitching around the gray pp.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Peace

Hi there,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their September Color Combo Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.

Create a project using the palette below.

This is the color palette:

And here's my layout titled, "Peace."
This was such a wonderful, peaceful area.  Andrew and I were walking around in the fields at my step-dad's and we came across this small spot of water.  We loved just walking around and enjoying the wonderful views.

I used all the colors from the palette.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok, My Mind's Eye
3D Embellies
Ribbon: Webster's Pages
EK Success Border Punch
Clear Sticker Page Title
Darice Embossing Folder
Sketch: Page Maps (Mar 2009)

The light yellow cardstock was embossed using the Darice Flourishes embossing folder.  Love these folders... they're 12" long!

A couple 3D leaves were added in the upper left of my photos.

Here's the cute 3D embellie of branches, leaves and a bird.

I wanted to add "something" to this plain circle.  So, I got out my needle and thread and gathered the ribbon along one side and adhered it to the circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Leave No Trace

Hi there,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Color Combo Challenge #2.  You can see the challenge here.

This is the color palette:

Here's my layout titled, "Leave No Trace."  I used all the colors from the palette.
This is Linda and I at a Fall Camporee.  We were always laughing... no matter what the situation... always having a great time!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok, Other
Ribbon
Distressing
Paper Tearing
Swirly Bling
Rosettes: Hand Made
Sharpie Marker
Gems: Home Made
Rub on Page Title
Sketch: Page Maps (Mar 2005)

All paper edges were distressed.  On the ribbon I added some left over bling.

More swirly bling was added just below the photo.

The rosettes were made with sheer fabric... which obviously was shredding along the edges.  The gems are home made.  And I added more bling around the flowers.

The page title is a rub on.  Above that I added ribbon and gems.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there,

Another layout to share with you that was submitted at Home and Scrapped Gallery with a sketch from Scrappy Sketches (Mid Week Sketch 21-13).

EK Success Border Punch
Flowers/Leaves
Clear Letter Stickers
Heart: cut from template
Butterfly
Sharpie Marker
Gems: Home Made
Distressing (heart)

Above the page title I added a pink butterfly.  Isn't it sweet?

My newest border punch and I love it!

Here's my flower grouping.

A closer look at the flowers and gems.

A glitter gem was added in the larger flower.

The heart was cut from a template and the edges distressed.
