Happy Saturday!!

Hello Everyone!

It's a bit cool, but sunny day here.  The sun always seems to brighten things.  And it is the weekend, so that makes it even better!  :)

This is Saturday's layout.

A little bling was added to give this layout some interest.  I thought they fit nicely between the ribbon swirls.

Having fun with my Nestabilities dies and created a pocket.  The two tags can be removed to reveal photos and captions.  I folded the top of the pocket down and glued it in the center, to make it look more like a pocket.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Better Late than Never!!

Hello!
It's been yet another emotional day.  And my friends wonder why I have such high anxiety!!

On the road all day running errands.  Why does running errands seem to consume so much time when you're in a hurry?  Ugh!!  At least I had a wonderful lunch with a great friend!  And.... (drum roll).... I got some absolutely fantastic news!  Sorry, I can't explain it.

I call this my "Pretty in Blue" layout.

I had just enough ribbon for this layout!  Phew!

I used some pastel colored beads for the centers of the smaller flowers.  This photo doesn't really do them justice.... but they are really cute beads.... really!  If I dig around long enough in my stash, I actually find something that I can use!  :)

I hope you all had a wonderful Friday!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Guess I Need to Enjoy Today Anyways

Hello everyone!
Weather in Northern Maine......... SNOW!
We got super spoiled last week when all the snow melted and it was in the 70's for several days.  I got so antsy to work in my gardens.  I loved relaxing and sitting out in the sun, with my faithful dog sitting beside me, panting like crazy!  Guess the heat was a shock for her system too!

Well, I woke up this morning to about 3 inches of snow!  I can no longer see the grass or my veggie garden.  :(
Not to worry, we're on the down hill side of this weather and eventually these snow surprises will peter out and we will get Spring!  I'm waiting...... and NOT patiently either.  Sad to say "patience" is not my favorite thing.  I'm constantly working at it though, and that's really hard work too!

Anyhow, here's my layout for today.

I found this chipboard butterfly and thought it would be cute on this layout.  But, I had to do something with it....... so I just covered it with scrap paper from my layout, sanded the edges and added BLING!  I bent the wings up ever so slightly to give it some depth.  Ummmmmm, I know, it's pretty simple, but it works for my simple layout.

I've been trying to utilize my scraps better, so why not make cards with them, right?  I'm always looking over at my scrap pile and realized that it grows way too fast!  "I gotta do something with these!"
Mini scrapbook albums also use these scraps up quickly.  Yes!!  I have to get working on another mini album!!

I made these two cards from leftover scraps.
I don't like saying it, but I always seem to need Sympathy cards.  Guess it's just not my favorite card to make, but it's always good to have some on hand.

I hand cut a couple of the flowers and layered them with a circle in the center, which I sanded a bit then inked.  The ribbon was a super great find at the dollar store.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Birthday Cards

Hello Everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying your mid-week.

Here's a couple birthday cards I've been working on.

Have I  already mentioned that I love using the Nestabilities dies?  Well, I love my Big Shot too!!  Can't get enough of them!  My poor Cricut has been neglected for some time now....

Have a wonderful day!

Pastels with a little Bling!!

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying another beautiful day, wherever you are.  I think if I stay outside for very long, I may get blown away from the wind!  So, I'll just stay inside today!  :)

Here's my layout for today.

My attempt at a paper flower.  It took me awhile to figure out something and this is what I came up with.  I just took strips of paper (about an inch wide) and folded them in half and bent them around my finger and glued them together at the ends.  Then I just layered each of the "loops" in a circle and glued them in place.

Flowers that match the layout really adds individuality to it, don't you think?

Gotta love "bling!"

Have a wonderful day!

Can You Tell I LOVE RED?!?!?!

Hi there!

Here's a layout I love, all because of RED.

I cut strips of fabric, then sewed along one edge and gathered to create this cute flower.  I knotted a piece of ribbon and used it for the center.

Oh my!  I just realized how fast Easter is creeping up on me!  Thought I'd better work on some Easter cards!  Here's a few that I made today.  Super easy and so fun to make!
Enjoy!

I used water color pencils for the eggs, coloring lightly to keep the pastel Spring feel.

Since this little Easter bunny girlie girl was stamped on shiny paper, I heat embossed it.  She's so cute!

Have a wonderful day!

Hello Sunday!!

Hope you are all enjoying this quiet, peaceful Sunday morning!

This is my layout for today.
Enjoy!

This flower was made with tissue paper and lace.

I needed to add "something" for the center of this flower.  I just looped some embroidery cording and glued down.  I've had this forever and never used it.

Have a wonderful day!

On the Menu for Today ---- A Brown Layout and Card

Hi there!
Holy cow it's COLD out today!  Brrrrrrrr!  Just yesterday I was sitting out in the sun, enjoying the fresh air and today I have all my layers on again!

I finally tried my Nestabilities dies using my Big Shot.  Love those dies.  They're so cool to work with and being able to layer and layer, to create something super unique, is awesome too!

My layout for today.  Certainly not Spring colors, right?  Oh well, it's something different.
Hope you enjoy!

With the scraps from the above layout, this is the card I made.

Have a wonderful day!

Here Ya Go!

Hello!
These are my cards for today.
Have been on the road all day, so I'm a bit tired.

I did get to purchase a new corner rounder punch, which I've been looking for.  I have the orange and blue Fiskars one, but I didn't like the way it worked at all.  I'll be glad to toss that one aside and use my new one from EK Success!
Also found some great finds for $1, to add to my cards and layouts.  :)

Have a wonderful day!

Pretty in Pink

Hello!

Here's a couple cards with different sentiments using the same card layout.

Tried a new technique.  Misted the cardstock flowers with water and scrunched them up, waited for them to dry, layered a couple of them.  I may have misted the cardstock too much because it took forever for them to dry!

Have a wonderful day!

Recent Purchases - YAY!!

Hello!

Just had to share my recent purchases!  I haven't even tried the Nestabilities dies yet.
I know, I know... I will!!  Can't wait to create with these.

My paper stacks!  Oh my, am I a paper fanatic!  I LOVE paper!  I wanted to purchase one of each, but knew I couldn't.  Maybe next time.... Hee hee!!  It's so hard to choose which ones I really want because I want them all!!

Here's my rather simple layout for today.

The flower was cut from felt with my Big Shot dies.  Then I layered them and attached with a brad... and glued a butterfly onto the flower to add a little interest to the layout.

Have a wonderful day!
