Good Times

Hello everyone!

Even though I haven't really posted anything in a few days... working on projects that I can't post... yet!  Soon enough you will see them!  So keep checking back!  :)

Here's a layout that was submitted at Turtle Soup for their November Mini Crop - Precious Family Challenge.

The challenge is to scrap a special family occasion and journal about what makes it special to you.

My layout is titled, "Good Times."

This photo was taken in July.  I was so happy to have them home for a part of the summer!

Journaling reads:

"This was a special "reunion" of sorts.  Since both of our kids joined the military we haven't been together for several years.  So, when our son came home this summer, it was so awesome to be a family again and we had such wonderful memories.  Love this photo of them!  This is one proud mom!  July 2013"

A trio of flowers were added just below the journaling block.

The background was created using splotches of paint, misting it, then pressing the cardstock onto it.

The black cardstock was embossed.  The page title is an epoxy sticker.

 

After misting a portion of the upper page, I added various bling in lines to represent a "burst" coming from the heart brad.  I used a ruler to make sure my lines were straight.
