Birthday Girl "Pink" Card

A closer look.  Isn't the swirly bling cool?!?!  So easy and fun to make too!

The clear sticker sentiment was adhered onto paper, trimmed and adhered with pop dots.  Two different flowers were layered with a home made gem in the center.

Kind Words Card

Hi there,

It's a beautiful sunny day today!  

Finally got the rest of my carrots pulled out of the garden.  Now I can work on getting my compost all spread onto the garden to set for the winter.  That's when I feel like it...  :)

I have a few cards to share with you today.

It's been awhile since I dug into the purples...

The sentiment is from Paper Pizazz (Hot Off the Press).  Most of the edges were distressed.

Tri-fold Shutter Birthday Card

Hello,

Here's a card that was submitted at Sketches 4 All as an example for the Technique Challenge (Nov 4) that I'm hosting.  I hope you will stop by and check it out.  You can see the challenge here.

The challenge is to use "leaves" on your project... any project... the choice is yours.  Just use leaves!  Pretty simple, right?

Here's my tri-fold shutter Birthday card:

Super fun card to make!  If you haven't made one of these... you should.  There are lots of templates online for you to choose from.

Rub on Sentiment

The left side of the card.  I added a cluster of flowers and leaves.

The right side of my card with another cluster.

And here's the center of the card.  The shape was cut using one of my Nestabilities dies.

The sentiment is a rub on.

A closer look at the leaves.  I simply folded the ends of the leaves for some dimension.

And here's a look at the card lying flat.

As you can see, there are lots of leaves!  Leaves cut using my Sizzix die, leaves on the ribbon above and below the sentiment and there are also leaves on the pp behind the sentiment.

And now for a look at some of the leaves I've gathered just for you.  :)  I started digging through my stash and I realized that I have quite an assortment of leaves!  There are beautiful Fall colored leaves on the wire ribbon (lower left)... as well as store bought leaves (top of photo).

A closer look.  There are foam leaves, sequin leaves, leaves from embroidery embellies, glitter leaves, leaves on the black embroidery ribbon.  The gold mesh leaves were hand cut from a wide ribbon.

Purchased felt leaves, mulberry paper, vellum and felt cut using my Sizzix die.  The pp has leaves on it.

Smile Card

Here's a card that was submitted at Turtle Soup for their Sunday Card Sketch Challenge (Nov 3rd).

I decided to emboss the white circle under the flourish.  Several ribbons were used across the card.

Karen's First Snow

I have a fun layout to share that was submitted at Soul Scrappers... not for any challenge... but for F-U-N!!

That's right, one of our lovely DT members shared a photo of the first snow that the received.  And, other DT members had a wonderful idea of scrapping her photo to see the variety of layouts.

So, using Karen's photo... here is my "First Snow" layout:

It was a really cool layout to scrap!  Fun challenge!

Metal Snowman Embellie

Sketch: Page Maps (July 2008)

Two different letters were used for my page title.  And a small metal snowman embellie was added beside it.

Love these large snowflakes!  A smaller foam snowflake was added in the center of each one.

Swirly Bling!  LOVE IT!  All you need is transparencies, flourishes templates and puffy paint.

Tape the transparency over the flourish and add the "dots" using puffy paint... let dry and cut close to the dots.  So cool!

Smaller snowflakes were added along the left of my page.

The fabric ribbon has wire in it... so it was a bit tricky to get straight... but I got it after awhile!
