Determination

Hi there,
Hope you're having a great Saturday.

I've been working on this layout for submissions at Scrappy Sketches http://scrapysketches.blogspot.com/
and Home & Scrapped http://homeandscrapped.ning.com/
for their sketch challenge (Mid Week Sketch 46-12).

Here's the sketch:

And here's what I created:
These photos are of our son and grandson.  Andrew decided that today was the day
that he would teach Dylan how to ride his bike!  So, he took off the training wheels... and
of course Dylan didn't know what to think.  He was obviously ready to ride because in no
time at all he was riding with Zoe (our dog) running in front of him leading the way!

Now let's talk about the center photo.  Every once in awhile, while teaching Dylan, he
would hop on this teeny tiny bike to show Dylan how to ride it.  The bike was the right size
for Dylan but with Andrew on it.... it looked really small!  Of course, he had to do tricks
too, which got everyone laughing!  What a character!!  :)

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Distressing w/Scissors
Sharpie Marker
Chipboard
Buttons
Circle: Hand Cut
Font: Cricut Stamped
Cricut
Ribbon

This chipboard was self-adhesive.  I peeled off the backing and adhered it to the patterned
paper, cut it out, distressed the edges and flipped it over to reveal the pp.

The edges of my journaling block was also distressed.

The title letters were adhered only on the ribbon part, leaving the overhanging letters
"floating in air."  :)

Another view of my page.

Various buttons were used along the edge of the circle.  I added a green button
to match all the green grass and trees in the photos.

The chipboard arrow was made the same as the swirls.

Thanks for stopping by!
Libby  :)

  1. Thanks for doing such a great job of the sketch Libby, love it! I especially love how you used your chipboard. That is very inspired and clever and I love that you shared how to do it. A great story told, good one.
