Family

Good morning!

There's a light coating of snow out there today.... but the sun pops out every now and
again to melt it all away.  :)

Today, I'd like to share a layout that was submitted to Colorful Creations http://colorfulcreations.ning.com/
in October for the "Give Thanks Crop," Say It With Words Challenge (OCTWORDCROP).
The challenge was to use the word "FAMILY" and include a photo of your family
on your layout.  There was "extra points" for using Fall colors on your layout or using words
to describe your family.

I chose a sketch from the C.C. sketch gallery and decided to use this photo of my sister and I.

This photo was taken a couple of years ago on a family vacation in Texas along the
River Walk.  Such a beautiful place.
We were there to see our daughter's graduation from Basic Training.
The River Walk... lots to see, lots of vendors selling so many cool items and all
sorts of cute little cafe's to eat at.  Yum!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Leaves
Ribbon
Decorative Trim
Brads
Rub ons: Time 4 Crafts

I used leaves with a strip of decorative ribbon tucked under the title block and
decided to use the photo of the River Walk sign as my title.
"Fun" rub on was used in the upper right.

I had lots of this peach ribbon so I braided it and using a square template to follow, adhered the
ribbon around that.  "Laugh" rub on was used under the photo, since that's all that my
sister and I do when we get together!!

More leaves were tucked under the corner of the photo with braided ribbon under
the leaves.

Since I love my sister, this was appropriate to add on my page with a rub on flower
above that.
You can also see the trim I used.

A better view of the trim.

Love these bold, orange brads!  Thought they matched the page well.

Thanks for taking a peek at my Blog.
Hope you come back!
Libby  :)
