Geri

Good morning!
It's a sunny day... but super cool out!

Today I have a layout to share that was submitted at The Color Rooms (TCR) http://www.thecolorrooms.com/index.html
for their Palette and Sketch Challenge (#135).

Here's the palette I had to work with:
Picture
The Palette is only up for one week... so I had to gather my supplies quickly for this one!  :)
You must choose papers, embellies, etc. as close to the palette as possible.  The fourth color in the
palette is a floral pattern and you can use any other neutral color in addition to the palette.

Here's my take on the sketch:
Meet Geri, our very spoiled cat.  She came to us as a stray and  she's been with us
for 10+ years!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
Glitter Chipboard: Colorbok
Flowers
Gems: Forever in Time
Title Font: Cricut Stamped
Cricut
Paper Lace Doily
Folk Art Paints/Toothbrush/Cotton ball
Tags Template: C-Thru Stencils
Distressing w/Scissors
Flower Gems
Rosettes
Shimmer Mist: Tattered Angels

I started by smearing paint onto a toothbrush to make the flecks and dots on the background
page as well as the tan and pink cardstock.
Love the glitter chipboard shapes!  They're so elegant!
The flowers were added with gem and rosette centers.
All paper edges were distressed with scissors.
The "leaves" are actually flowers that were cut apart, with the petals used as leaves.

The letters were also distressed.

A paper doily was dabbed with pink and purple paint using a cotton ball and was misted.
The flower was lightly "inked" with paint.

My journaling, distressed paper edges and cute glitter hearts!  You can also
get a better glimpse of the paint speckles.

This grouping started with the glitter swirls, then the flowers were added.
The tag was traced from a stencil, the edges distressed with a flower gem added
at the end.

Rosettes were used for a few of the smaller flowers.

A better view of the flowers, glitter and bling along the left side of my page.

A look at the bottom right of my layout.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in!
Libby  :)
