Birthday Cards

Hello,

Finally getting away from Christmas card making.  It was nice to make something different!  :)

These two cards were submitted at Let's Capture These Sketches for their Sketch #45 Challenge.  This is the sketch:

And here's the color palette you are to work with:

These are my cards.  Both of them are pretty much the same, only changing the flower colors and center circles, staying true to the sketch.  The delicateness of the palette and soft colors really caught my eye.
For my first card, I used decorative trim to adhere around the circle.  Different ribbon was used horizontal on the card and the flowers and sentiment were added.  The edges of the sentiment were inked.

I've had these flowers for quite awhile and was glad to finally have a chance to use them!
I embossed each flower with the "dots" embossing folder.
For this card, I used lace for adhere around the circle and added the flowers.  The centers of the flowers are the cutest ever glittery snow-globe gems!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, White Cardstock
Lace
Ribbons
Flowers: Forever in Time
Snow-Globe Glitter Gems: Forever in TIme
Inks: Brilliance Pearlescent Crimson, A la mode Pink
Sentiment: The Paper Co.
Distressing
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Big Shot

Here's a different angle to give you a better look at the decorated circles, layered flowers and snow-globe!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you visit again soon.
Merry Christmas!
Libby  :)
