July 4th Parade

Hello!
It's FRIDAY.... Yay!!
We've been on the road most of the day.  Really hated to go into some of the stores for groceries, knowing how many sick people there are out there.  The hospitals are full to their maximum with the flu!  They're saying it's the worse flu season ever... like they say every year.
I need to help enforce... "Stay Home If You're SICK!"
I used so much Purel today!  Before and after every store we went into, we had the Purel poured on our hands!  The hardest for me: DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE!  Seriously... I am constantly touching my face!  So today was a challenge indeed.
We're glad to be back home... now we can relax!  :)

Speaking of challenge, I have a layout to share with you today that was submitted at White With 1 for their WW1 January Challenge.

White + Color Palette (Aqua & Red) + Summer Photo

Here's the palette:

You can't even see the white... but you already know the base is white.

Here's what I created using a sketch from Stickers N Fun (Feb 2009):
Waiting for the Parade to begin... getting anxious just standing there, so decided to have some photos taken.  This is Linda and I with Linda's son in the background between us.  What a fun time we all have!

I used the colors from the palette and a summer photo.

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok
Ribbons
Font: Cricut Opposites Attract
Perfect Pearls Mists
Flowers
Self-adhesive Pearls: Forever in Time
Seam Binding Rosettes: Hand Made

I used the teal (aqua) ribbon across the bottom under the photo and red ribbon vertical.

I misted the paper just after the "4th" and you can just see a bit it.

My aqua and red flower grouping.  I used various flowers and some of them already had the pearls for their centers and the ones that didn't, I simply added self-adhesive pearls.  The seam binding rosettes were hand made.  All the flowers were misted.

A different view of my flowers.

Have a wonderful day!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
