Spring Fling Dance

Hello,

It's Sunday already!  Where did the weekend go?  How was your day?  Hope you had a relaxing one.

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Theme Challenge (THC58).
The challenge is to use the word "Spring" on your layout, birds, butterflies and flowers.
Think Spring.

I used a sketch from Becky Fleck/Page Maps (Oct 2012).
Here's my layout:

This is our daughter before the Spring Fling Dance with her friend and at the Dance with the boy she went with.  Where has the time gone?

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Satin Ribbon
Flowers
Rosettes: Hand Made
Gems: Glitterazzi
Butterflies, Swirls & Birds cut from pp
Font: Cricut Stamped
Sharpie Marker
Self-adhesive Pearls
Journaling Block traced from template
Distressing

I folded wide satin ribbon and tucked it under the strip of paper.

Title was cut from patterned cardstock.  The small black flowers already had the gems on them... what a deal!  Black gems were added around the flower grouping.

The birds and butterflies were cut from pp.  The butterflies were adhered in the centers, leaving the wings lifted off the page.  I gently curled the bird wings and head for dimension.

The swirls were cut from pp and tucked under the photos.

Here's my flower grouping.  Various flowers, gems and hand made rosettes, finished off with a butterfly adhered onto one of the rosettes.

Here's a closer look at the flowers and gems.

The journaling block was traced from a template and the edges distressed.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day!
