Hi there,
The layout for this post was submitted at The Color Rooms for their Palette #143 Challenge.
Here's the color palette:
And the sketch:
And here's what I created:
Love this school photo of our daughter when she was in the 11th grade. Actually, we didn't have the photos taken at school, I took her to a portrait studio to have these taken.
Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
Distressing
Various Flowers
Circle Clip
Ribbon
Bubble Word: Miss Elizabeth's
Gem
Brads
Gem Brads
Mister Huey's Color Mists: Heirloom Blue
Perfect Pearls Mists: Perfect Pearls, Sunflower Sparkle
Tags
Rub ons
Turn Tab
Staples
Ink: A la mode Pink
Seam Binding Rosette: Hand Made
Ribbon was knotted on the circle clip. The bubble word was a very shiny silver, so I poured some color mists onto a paper towel and dabbed the silver. I think it worked... it looks good. My fingers are stained, but I like how it turned out. :)
The edges of the tags were distressed. I lightly inked each tag with pink then added the mists. Finally, rub ons were added to each one. A yellow turn tab with a gem brad was added to the center tag.
A large gem brad was added on the pink flower. I actually have a hard time to use these brads... but the color matched perfectly with the color palette.
Here's all the fun colors under the photo and lots of layering. All the paper edges were distressed. Check out the dark teal flowers. They were the cutest little "white" flowers! I really wanted to use them, so I misted them and changed the whole look of the flower... and matched my page!
I added a couple different run on swirls on the tag at the bottom of the layout. The rosette is what I made and added a gem in the center.
Here's a better look at the misting.
Wanted to show only this portion of my page. I'm lovin all the layers!
This word was perfect to add under the photo.
The tab above is the bottom part of the tag which was used at the bottom of the page. All I had to do was staple it to the page and add a flower.
Thanks for taking a look at my blog.
Have a wonderful day!
