JUMP

Hi there!
Hope you're having a wonderful Thursday.

I have several layouts that I'd like to share.  The first one was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Song/Lyric Challenge (SLC18).  The deadline is February 28 to get those entries in.  The song is "Jump" by Van Halen.  Here are the lyrics:

I get up, and nothing gets me down.
You got it tough. I've seen the toughest around.
And I know, baby, just how you feel.
You've got to roll with the punches to get to what's real
Oh, can't you see me standing here?
I've got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen.
Oh, can't you see what I mean?
Ah, I might as well jump. Jump!
Might as well jump.
Go ahead, jump. Jump!
Go ahead, jump.
Aaa-ohh Hey you! Who said that?
Baby how you been?
You say you don't know, you won't know
Until you begin.
So can't you see me standing here?
I've got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen.
Oh, can't you see what I mean?
I might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead and jump.
Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead, jump. Jump!
(Guitar solo)
(Keyboard solo)
Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead and jump.
Get it and jump. Jump!
Go ahead and jump.
Jump!
Jump!
Jump!
Jump!

Using a sketch from Scrap-a-Little sketches by Helen Croft (#22), this is what I created:
This is one of the Boy Scouts during winter events.  During some "down time" he was determined that I get just the right photo of him jumping off a bale of straw (which was used inside the igloos) into a snowbank.  There was so much snow this year... so when he landed in the snow it was all fluffy and just right for him to land in.... over and over again.... until I finally got the right photo!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Yarn
Distressing
Square Brads
Ribbon
Cardstock Title Letters
Bic Marker
Mister Huey's Color Mists: Shine
Die Cut Circle

The letters were different colors... colors that really didn't match my page, so I got out the Bic markers and colored the ones that didn't match.  The squares were then misted and distressed.

Ribbon was placed under the photo and yarn acts like a frame around the photo.

Tiny square brads were used along the bottom of the larger circle.

Have a wonderful day!
