Wanted Dead or Alive

Hi there!
Happy February to you all!  I'm looking forward to a great scrapping month... and a few other things too!

Yesterday I had to make the dreaded trip to run errands.  Well, I had a Dentist appointment too.  Yay... no cavities!  :)
Anyhow, I have a short story before I get to the real purpose of my post.

It was a rainy and windy day yesterday.  It wasn't raining too badly after my appointment, so I decided to hit the Dollar Tree and see what fun Valentine's Day items I could get (heheheheheh).
It started raining a little harder.... but that's ok.  A little rain never hurt anyone... especially not me... after being caught in downpours many times!  And wind, well, we have lots of that too.  No problem.
So, I took one step out the door and BAM!  I got plastered with a sheet of rain that the wind had blown.  Perfect timing!  I was drenched in about 2 seconds.  I looked like a drowned rat.  I had one more errand to run... which got me even wetter.  By now I was chilled... so I decided to turn up the heat and head home.  Forget about the other errands.  I was done for today.  The wind was blowing at around 50 mph and everyone looked like they were driving drunk, trying to keep their cars on the road.
That was my fun event from yesterday.

Now for my layout that was submitted at Colorful Creations  for the challenge that I happen to be hosting.
The Song Challenge for February is "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi.
Who doesn't love Bon Jovi, right?

Here's the lyrics to their song:
Wanted Dead Or Alive
Songwriters: Jon Bon Jovi/Richard Sambora

It's all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems we're wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I'd drive all night just to get back home

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when you're alone all you do is think

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
Wanted (wanted) dead or alive

Oh! And I ride!

I'm A cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted (wanted) Dead or alive

Now I walk these streets, this six string in my hand
Still playin' for keeps, 'same old me same old band,
I been everywhere, and I'm standing tall
I've seen a million faces (seen an awful lot of faces)

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
I'm a cowboy, I got the night on my side
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
And I ride, dead or alive
I still drive, dead or alive

My challenge is very simple:
You must use a word, several words, a sentence, title song, verse or whole song, somewhere on your project.  Open to all crafters, you can create whatever you wish... layout, digital, card, mini album, altered item or tag.  The deadline for submitted your entry is February 28th.

Here's what I created using a sketch from C.C. by Brenshevia.
Yes, this is me... in my finest flannel pj's!  Please read the story below... so you can have a laugh!  :)

Journaling reads:
This photo was taken (a long time ago) by our son who was goofing off with the camera.  As you can tell in the photos, I was trying to grab the camera from him.  All in fun, I brought it to work to show Julie and we had a good laugh about it.  Some time later, after I had forgotten about the photo, I was walking into the office where I used to work, I noticed that everyone was grinning and snickering at me.  Hmmmmm, I wonder what's going on.  As always, I head straight to my office.  Then I saw our boss stopping in the hall to read the bulletin board (which was right outside my office).  I figured I should check it out too.  He snickered and said "something" (boy, I wish I could remember what he said)!  Julie had copied my photo and made 8 1/2 x 11 posters that she posted randomly in our office building, including both bathrooms!  She even wrote all these clever little "wanted" sayings on each one!  "Juuliieeeeeee!"  She sure had fun with this joke, at my expense!  Yes, she's still my best friend!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, K&Co.
Cork board
Distressing
Stickers: Creative Imaginations
Cardstock Die Cuts: from Internet
Washi tape: Hand Made
Sharpie Marker
Perfect Pearls Mists: Biscotti, Gold, Pearl
Mister Huey's Mists: Dewey, Clay
Color Mists: Wilton - Pearl

I added a small strip of sticker under the "badge."

Here are the 3 "posters" which were re-sized and printed onto cardstock.

Journaling is under the "Reward" sub title, which was printed from the internet onto cardstock.

I matted the title onto pp and cork board.

The journaling was added under my subtitle (Reward), as a little booklet.

A look at the left side of my page, in which you can see all the layering and distressing.

Here's my little grouping of handcuffs/key, hat, badge and an oval "Wanted!" sticker.  The edges were distressed and all pieces misted.

I just had to add a strip of the washi tape I made.  Looks cool on the cork board.

A closer look at the puffy sticker hinge that was added to my journaling block.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
