Cherish

Hi there,

Another layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their May "Oh Boy" Challenge (May OB).  You can see the challenge here.  The deadline for submissions is May 31, so you still have time to participate.  Head on over there and check out their site!  There's a variety of challenges there... and I'm sure something will inspire you to create.

The challenge:

1. Use "male" photo(s).
2. Use twine.
3. Use an arrow.
4. Use chevrons.

Here's what I created:
Our grandson when he as 5.  This is his Kindergarten school photo.  Love that sweet little face!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV, My Mind's Eye
Distressing
Ribbon
Title Sticker
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
Sharpie Marker
Chevron Template
Silver Color Mist
Sketch: Page Maps (July 2011)

I recently purchased a couple of stencils/templates from Donna Downey and I love them.  She has some beautiful stencils... and this is grunge chevrons.  I used a silver mist and love how it turned out.
The arrow is hand made and the edges distressed as well as the strip below the chevrons.

I used twine around the title circle and added a bow.

Journaling was added on the white cardstock.

The twine was overlapped where they met in the corner.

Ribbon was scrunched below the title and a punched border added over that.

Here's a couple photos with a better look at the dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
