Hi all,
Wish my post title was actually what the weather was like here! Instead, it's a drabby, rainy day! Yuck! Pretty much what's on the menu for most of the week.
Today's layout was submitted at Colorful Creations for their May Sketch-a-Thon, May 20 (PaulaMay). You can see the challenge here.
Here's the sketch:
Doesn't this look like a fun sketch? Well.... it is!!
Here's what I created:
Our cute niece when she was 11 years old.
Supplies used:
Paper: Kraft, Colorbok
Stitching Template: Paper Pizazz
Sharpie Markers
Rick Rack
Flowers/Leaves
Glitter Gems: Home Made
Twine: Home Made
Distressing
Decorative Edge Scissors
Ink: Color Box Tangerine
Title: From pp
I used a template for the background scallops.
The heart was distressed along the edges and twine wrapped around it several times and tied into a bow. You can also see the faux stitching around each circle too. I simply created the lines following a circle.
Here's my flower grouping.
The edges of the title were distressed and matted. Rick rack was added below that.
Using the stitching template, I created a border around the the page. The outer edges of the Kraft paper were inked with orange.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
