Senior Prom

Hello,

Guess what?  I made it to WEEK 20 at Colorful Creations for their So You Think You Can Scrap Challenge (SYTYSC020)!  Woo hoo!  Totally excited!

So now, the challenges are getting tougher... and winding down... so a winner has to be chosen soon... because they don't want to drag this out through the summer (and I agree).

There are 11 participants left in the challenge.. and I'm one of them!  :)
You can see the challenge here.

And this week, we're to create a page using this sketch:

From here on out, we will have a sketch to create our layout and the members will VOTE on the pages and each week, 2 participants will be eliminated until they have a winner!  Be sure to vote!

Here's what I created:
This is Lynn and I at her Senior Prom in 2000.  All the parents got to hang out and see all the beautiful gowns the girls were wearing and see how sharp all the guys looked.  Then a professional photographer took photos and all the parents decided on which photo package they wanted to purchase.  Then we all scattered... to let our Seniors have some fun!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
EK Success Border Punch
Bling: Want 2 Scrap
Glitter Butterflies: K&Co.
Flowers
Gems
Ribbons
Blue Mist: Home Made
Silver Color Mist
Pop Dots
Sharpie Marker
Ink: A la mode Black

I stayed true to the sketch.

I misted a paper towel and dabbed it lightly onto the white flowers to give them some color.  And to give them a bit of shine... I misted them lightly with a silver mist and gems were added in their centers.

Some of the bling in the upper left of the photo.

Here's a closer look at these sweet flowers!

Swirly bling was added around the title circle.  Clear stickers were used as the title. Ribbon was stapled at the top... off to the right a bit and adhered with pop dots.

These butterflies are the sweetest!  One was added above the title.

Below the photo are a couple more flowers, bling and another butterfly.  You can also see the punched paper on the right.

Here's a look at the right side of my page.

Here's a look at the center of the page.

This photo shows the punched paper much better, as well as the cute flower trio and title grouping.

A better look at the embellies above the photo.

Journaling was added on the left of the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
