Hi there,
I have a layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their "Weekly Challenges." I am so happy to be hosting this challenge every 2nd & 4th weeks each month. This weeks' challenge is: BANNERS. I hope you'll hop on over to S4A and check it out... and you may even want to participate! You can see the challenge here.
Here's my example layout titled "Today is the Best."
This is our grandson and I spending some fun times together. He loved to sit on my lap while I read him a book or just to watch one of his favorite movies.
Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye, Colorbok
Polka Dots Stencil: Donna Downey
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
String
Ribbon
Prima Flowers
Glitter Gems: Home Made
Distressing
Title Banner: Cut from pp
Non-slip Liner
Sharpie Marker
Silver Color Mist
Perfect Pearls Mist
Sketch: Page Maps (Sept 2007)
Here's a closer look at my cool banner made from a non-slip liner. Love how this turned out! You can also see the misting on the background paper and on the banner... which only shows on the ribbons.
Here's the masking which goes over two of the papers.
A closer look at the banners. So fun to make too!
A banner was added just below the photo with a flower added where they meet. The glitter gem is home made, the flower was misted with a silver color mist and I also added a little blurb to the right of the flower.
The title was cut from pp, distressed along the edges and curled around a pen and adhered only on the curves that touch my page. I also distressed the matting behind the photo.
These flowers were also misted and a glitter gem added only in the larger flower.
A closer look at one of the banners.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
