Hi there,
Warmer today, but still very rainy. Some day the rain will stop... hopefully before we're flooded!!
I've been working on a couple of layouts. This one was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their June "TRAVEL" Challenge. You can see the challenge here.
Here's the criteria for this challenge:
Create a LAYOUT, any design, any theme and MUST include the following:
"T"= Twine - A bow below the photo on left
"R" = Rub on - Pink heart and swirls on right of journaling block
"A" = Airplane or Hot air balloon - Airplane photo
"V" = Vellum - Flowers
"E" = Embossing - On the top photo
"L" = Layers - To the left of my page
Using everything from the criteria, this is what I created:
Our daughter, getting ready to board the plane for unknown territory to fulfill her dream.
Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co.
Thickers Letters
Vellum Flowers
Sizzix Flowers Die
Gems: Home Made
Rub ons
Journaling Block: We R Memory Keepers
Twine
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Sharpie Marker
Ribbon
Stickers
Sketch: Page Maps (Jan 2006)
So glad the embossing shows in this photo. I used a frame embossing folder. Love how this turned out!
I distressed the edges of the journaling block... then added a rub on heart. Not the best thing to add over a distressed edge. After adding the rub on heart, I also added a swirly rub on over it.
My flower grouping under and around the journaling block. The flowers are vellum. I pinched some of the petals and curled some of them under and added home made gems for their centers.
I'm a bit behind in the newest scrapbooking items... but these Thickers letters are awesome!! Expensive, but so cool!
A closer look at the vellum flowers and gems.
A bow of twine was added below the photo. Paper layers are to the left.... one torn edge with another added over that and ribbon tops it off.
Two smaller vellum flowers were added in the upper left of the journaling block.
Here's another look at the embossed photo.
Two glitter travel stickers were added to the left of the photos.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
