Hello,
Here's a layout that was submitted at From Screen 2 Scrap for their June Movie Poster Inspiration Challenge. You can see the challenge here. Would love to see you join in.
This is the movie poster from the movie "The Great and Powerful Oz."
And the added criteria:
1 pt. = A fence
2 pts. = Gold/Yellow title
3 pts. = Hot air balloon(s)
Here's what I created:
Now that I look at my page... I should have pulled some of the colors from the movie poster to create my page. Oh well... I used all the added criteria. It's a pretty plain page, but I tried flowers and it didn't look good at all. So, this is the end result.
This is a photo taken where our daughter's basic training graduation was. It was such a dreary, rainy day and cold too! January in Texas is not the best weather. Thankfully the next day it was a bit warmer... and no rain.
I was inspired by the dreary weather from the poster... the large letter "O" and the gold.

Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Ribbon
Sizzix Fence Die
Cardboard
Pop Dots
Clear Sticker Letters
Distressing
The title circle area was distressed. The fence was added as well as ribbon.
Here's a closer look at the fence, which was misted with a gold color mist and layered with pop dots for a 3D look.
Ribbon was tucked between the two fences and then scrunched on the remainder of the page.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Good on ya Libby. So pleased you have joined in. Your page fully reflects the photo. Very nice touch with the ribbon thru the fence.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in Libby, your added criteria came up great! The fence looks fab and love the added scrunchie ribbon! I like how you added the hot air balloon as a framed photo on the wall. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLovely page as usual Libby - love the muted colours you have used.
ReplyDeleteLove your title Libby! Not every day is a pearl, so it is great to scrap about the other. I love this quiet page with your fence & ribbon! Thank you for playing along with us at FS2S!
