Family of Sparrows

Hi there,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Colorful Creations for their Member Spotlight Sketch Challenge (gdtjuly).  You can see the challenge here.

This is the sketch:

And here's my layout titled, "Family of Sparrows."
Love these sparrows!  They're so cute!  Each year I look forward to the family's return.
It also means that I need to hurry and clean out their house from the previous year!!  My cue is when I see them circling around!

Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye, Colorbok
Burlap
Distressing
Gems: Home Made
Distress Stain
Pop Dots
Photo Corners
Coffee Filter Flower
Sizzix Flower Die
Paper Doily
Wood Flowers & Dragonfly
String Pearls
Marker

The tag was rounded on the corners and for something different I added the photo corners on each end and three home made gems.  A small piece of burlap was looped through the tag and distress stain was dabbed along the edges and around the writing.

I used a wavy ruler along the edges, cut and distressed them.  Burlap was added along the edge.

For the flower, I scrunched a few layers which were cut from coffee filters.  Pearls were looped under the flower.  The paper doily under the flower was distressed with stain.  The smaller flowers and dragonfly are wood... and so cool!  I wish I had more of them!  Another strip of burlap was added along the inside edge.

A closer look at the flowers.

I also dabbed some distress stain on the dragonfly too.

The tag was adhered with pop dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
