Adventure

Hello,

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Colorful Creations for their Theme Park - Adventurous Challenge (themeparkaugust).  You can see the challenge here.

The theme this month is "Adventurous."

Here's my layout titled, "Adventure."
This was quite an adventure for sure... on the Allagash for 7 days with our Boy Scout Troop and volunteers!  This particular year we had excessive amounts of rain and some of the camp sites were flooded!  Seven days was a bit much... but we all survived it!  Everyone paddled over 50 miles and earned a Boy Scout (50-miler) Patch for it!

The top photo was looking at the beautiful scenery after climbing a small mountain.  Paddling wasn't enough... we had to add hiking to this adventure too!

The bottom photo is the whole group!  We were all holding each others canoes to stay together.  The patrol person (sure nice guy) was more than happy to take this photo of us all!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
Canoe & Paddle Die Cut
Wood Flowers
Walnut Ink Mist
Circle Punch
Clear Sticker Quote
Gems: Home Made
3D Embellie
Rick Rack
Clocks Stencil
Sketch: Page Maps (July 2012)

Love this cute quote I happened upon while looking through my stash.
It reads: "The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." -John Muir

The wood flowers were misted with walnut ink.

The background was misted with my clocks stencil.

Home made gems go around the circle.  A small strip of rick rack was added with the date on a banner below it.  The page title is a 3D embellie.

Here's a look at more of the stenciling.

And a closer look at the dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
