It's Your Day

Hi there,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Scrappy Sketches for their Mid Week Sketch 32-13 Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.  I also submitted in the Home and Scrapped Gallery... as this is their sister site.

This is the sketch:

And here's my layout titled, "It's Your Day."  This was a super fun sketch!!
It was so exciting to actually celebrate Andrew's birthday this year... because he happened to be home on leave.  We had all sorts of yummy goodies to eat, and cake too.  We even lit some fireworks later that night.

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
Darice Embossing Folders
Chipboard Shapes
Ribbon
Words: Cut from pp
Washers
String
Metallic Paint
Various Mists

Some squares have layers of pp and cardstock... which were embossed.  The chipboard star was embossed and misted with several different mists.  A washer was tucked under the cardstock.

On the page title block... a small banner was added using ribbon.  The words were matted and more washers tucked in around the title.

More embossing and another washer peeking from behind the matted words.

I thought these words were perfect for the photo beside it.... because you can just barely see a portion of Andrew's face as he gets ready to blow out the candles on his cake.

Metallic paint was dabbed onto this tiny chipboard tag and ribbon added on the end.

The heart was dabbed with metallic paint and the small star was embossed and misted.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
