Here's a fun layout that was submitted at ARTastic Challenge Blog for their September Challenge.
This is the inspiration photo:
Criteria: Quirky and fun... lighthearted and whimsical.
And here's a little info about the photo and it's artist.
Michael says... "I paint in two distinct techniques. Brightly Coloured Quirky Cottages and Traditional Landscapes Both styles explore the beauty of Western Australia's south coast where I live. There is no shortage of subjects to paint in this part of the world as the area displays a vast array of delightful scenery. Whimsical scenic towns collide with traditional local history from where both techniques derive."
And here's my layout titled, "Peek a Boo!"
I was inspired by the colors in the inspiration photo.
This is our sweet little grandson... who is not so little anymore! I LOVE this photo of him. Like our son, he was always busy doing "something" and never ceased to make me laugh!
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok, Other
3D Glitter Tree Embellie
Chipboard Letters: We R Memory Keepers
Gems: Home Made
Sketch: Page Maps (Apr 2005)
The green swirly cardstock was created using shaving creme and inks to create a cool pattern... similar to the background paper!
The 3D tree embellie was inspired by the trees in the inspiration photo.
Hearts were punched with pp and the shaving creme paper and clustered in the lower right of my page.
I used a wavy ruler for the pp and added ribbon over it.
Love these letters... they have a metallic shine in the center of them.... so cool!
For fun, I added two gems in the "oo" of "Boo" to represent eyes.
Beside the photo I created a tag from the shaving creme paper and ribbon on top of that with a heart.
Here's a closer look at the letters and gems.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
