Together

Hi there,

Brrrrr!  It's a true Fall day and the wind is blowing... and more rain is coming...
A GREAT day to stay in and CRAFT!!  :)

Here's a layout that was submitted at Stuck On U Sketches for their September 27 Sketch Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.

This is the sketch:

I absolutely LOVE this sketch!!

Here's my layout titled, "Together."
This photo was taken several years ago in a restaurant.

Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co., DCWV, Studio g, Colorbok
Swirly Bling
Gold Fabric
Rosettes: Home Made
Satin Flowers: Home Made
Gold Beads
Tiny Rosettes
Die Cut Page Title
Bling Butterfly

The flower cluster consists of mostly home made flowers that were made with sheer fabric and satin fabrics.  Swirly bling was tucked within the flowers.  I used gold beads for the flower centers.

Received this beautiful bling butterfly as part of a prize... and was holding off on using it... until I created this page.  Love it!

Here's a closer look at the butterfly and flower.  You can see where I put the satin fabric too close to the flame and singed the ends... which gives the flower some character... so I left it as is.

I left the cardstock in the center of the letters.  All the pp were trimmed with black cardstock.

The ribbon was a couple inches wide, so I folded it in half and scrunched it along the bottom of the photo and across the page... leaving the end trailing.

A closer look.

A closer look at this flower grouping.  I tucked a tiny rosette above the two larger flowers.

Laughter is Contagious

Hello,

One last post for today... a layout that was submitted at Stuck On U Sketches for their June 21 Sketch Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.  If you love sketches, then this is the site for you!  Lots of fun sketches here... and I wish I could play along with each new sketch that is posted...

This is the fun sketch:

This is what I created:
This is my sister and I having fun (as always) together!  There's never a dull moment when we are together!

Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co.
Flowers
Sticker Title
Glitter Gems: Home Made

Here's the flowers at the upper portion of my page.  The glitter gems are home made.

A larger flower was added to the right of the photo with a glitter gem in the center.

The sticker was one long title, so I cut it in half and matted them onto pp before adhering them to my page.

A closer look at the glitter gems.

Little Princess

Hi there,

I came upon this sketch at Stuck on U Sketches and HAD to try it out.  I loved the negative space, which is ironic because I love "filling" up a page!

This is the sketch:

Here's what I created:
This is our daughter at the age of 3, dancing to the music, which I always had on!

Supplies used:
Paper: K&Co.
Ribbon
Swirly Bling
Glitter Gems: Home Made
Clear Gems: Home Made
Title: Cut from pp
Mini Tag
Various Flowers
Mint Green Rosette: Home Made
Distressing
Epoxy Brad: Studio g

I'm addicted to making these cute little gems!  They're so fun... except for when I want to make glitter ones... then I have a massive mess in my craft room with the fine glitter everywhere, including all over my face!!  I didn't really notice how much glitter I had on my face until I looked closely in the mirror... Wowzaa!!

This is my flower grouping just under the photo.

The title was cut from pp.  Doesn't get much easier than that!!

Here's a closer look at my flowers, glitter gems and bling.  The mint green rosette is what I made.  And all the glitter gems are what I made.  Aren't they the cutest!!

The cute little dress was cut from pp and distressed along the edges and only adhered on one corner, so the rest of it would follow the shape of the flowers.

Here's the cute epoxy brad!  Love these!   Here's a better look at one of my glitter gems too!

I added the mini tag and a glitter gem at the top.

Wish Big

Hello,

I have a sweet card to share with you that was submitted at Stuck on U Sketches for their March 6 Card Sketch Challenge.

This is the sketch:

And here's what I created:
I brought out the Spring colors for this card.  I'm desperately wanting Spring and NO snow!!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, White Cardstock
Sentiment: Stampin' Up! Short & Sweet
Ink: A la mode Lavender
Darice Embossing Folder
Ribbon
Self-adhesive Pearls

I added a bow to "sort of" hide where the two different papers meet.  The sentiment was added to the right of the card.

Pearls were added to the centers of these cute flowers, which were placed on the inked, embossed square.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Beautiful Beginnings

Hello,

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Stuck on U Sketches for their Sketch Challenge.
Here's the sketch:

And this is what I created:
Hubby and I on our wedding day.

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
Ribbon
Sheer Ribbon
Paper Heart Doily
String Pearls
Foam self-adhesive Hearts
Vellum Die Cut
Vellum Envelope: Template from Hot Off the Press
Perfect Pearls Mists: Heirloom Gold & Perfect Pearls
Ink: A la mode Pink
Rub on Title Sentiment: Miss Elizabeth's

This stamped image was on an 81/2 x 11 vellum sheet so I cut around the image and adhered it to my page.  A foam heart was added on the larger heart.

The "ribbon" from the vellum image trails down, which is so cool.

The doily was misted and string pearls were added along the edge.  The envelope was traced from a template onto the left over vellum.  The edges were inked and foam hearts were added inside the envelope.

I scrunched ribbon along the bottom of the photos.

Sheer ribbon was knotted around the envelope and string pearls added through the knot.

The rub on is perfect for my page!  Love when I can find just the right sentiment!!  :)

I misted just one spot on the page and added the hearts, which were also misted.

Here's a look at the left side of my page.
