New "Twist" on Yarn Flowers

Hi there!
Not much gabbing today (imagine that)!

Here's my layout.  Enjoy!
 Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, White textured cardstock: ColorBok, yarn flowers, satin ribbon singed by a flame,
Fiskars border punch, glitter ribbon, watercolor pencils, Stampin' Up! butterfly,
Ink: Adirondack Purple Twilight, needle and thread

To make this flower, satin ribbon was stitched along one edge and gathered together.
The edges of the flower were singed by a flame.
The center of the flower is yarn, twisted into a circle onto a piece of cardstock.

Close up of the border punch, journaling block and the
cute little butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up!

Found some yarn pieces that made these cute flowers.
The yarn is very soft and untwists easily, so hot gluing them was the easiest (sort of) way to deal with it.

Instead of using the traditional green leaves, I decided to use some glitter ribbon, turning the
edges together and gluing them, then placing them under the flower to serve as leaves.

Have a wonderful day!
Polly  :)
