My Daughter

Hi there,
What a fantabulous day!  It was a cold, rainy day out and I got to stay inside and do some crafting!
This is one happy girl (for now anyways)!  Hee hee!

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Let's Get Sketchy http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/
for their November Week 1 Sketch Challenge.

This is the sketch:

And here's what I created:
Love this photo of our daughter when she was a Junior in High School.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Ribbons
Alcohol Inks: Tim Holtz
Flowers/Leaves
Large Circle Brad
Self-adhesive Rhinestones: Forever in Time
Rub ons: American Crafts
Distress Stain: Tim Holtz

Distress stain and alcohol inks were used on my page.  I squirted ink onto a toothbrush
and used my thumb to splatter it.
** Take note:  It's not good to use your fingers with alcohol inks.  I now have a "green" thumb!

I layered around 8 or 9 flowers and added this super cool, large brad with leaves under
the flower.
The flowers are from a Lei purchased at a discount store.  They come in such a variety
of colors and such a bargain price!!  Mix and match!  :)

A side view of my page.  I layered the sheer wire ribbon over the paper.  Thin sheer
green ribbon was twisted before attaching to the bottom.  Another piece of ribbon was
added above that.
The rub ons were added over the two ribbons.

These little rhinestones are the sweetest!!  I added three on the top strip of paper and
three on the lower right corner.

You can see the layers a bit better in this photo.

Thanks for stopping by!
Libby  :)
