Hello,
Big snowstorm hitting our area overnight and into tomorrow. They are calling for 12-18 inches of snow!!
Nothing like dumping it all at once!
I have a layout to share that was submitted at Screen 2 Scrap for their December Movie Poster Challenge.
Here's the movie poster:
Extra Criteria:
1 pt. = Use the technique "Tearing" on your page
2 pts. = Red Cardstock
3 pts. = Use a family photo
The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2012. You still have time to play along at this wonderful challenge site!
This is what I created. I chose a sketch from Stickers N Fun (Sept 2008).
Our family at Christmas in 2010 in front of our tree. Our daughter is not in this photo as she was in Basic Training. I know she would have preferred to be home with us. But, if you look on the wall, in the upper corner is her high school graduation photo... so she was with us!! :)
I added all the requirements: Red cardstock... which doesn't really look bright red, but it's a "vintage" red. :) Paper tearing is on the strip along the bottom.
And this is our family photo.
Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Paper Tearing & Distressing
Gems: Forever in Time
FLowers
Flower Center Bubbles
Font: Cricut Stamped
Cricut
Green Wire Ribbon
Sheer White Ribbon
The green ribbon was too dark for my page, so I "toned it down" by adding white sheer ribbon over it.
That worked for me!
Paper tearing.
The flowers were made using a lei purchased at a Dollar Store. I folded each flower several times and adhered them onto a small cardstock circle. I continued this until the flower was complete. These sweet little bubble stickers were added for the centers.
Here are a couple other views of the flowers, pearls and gems.
Love these cute little half-pearls. The only problem with them is trying to pick them up! They're way too smooth... but look pretty sharp on my page! And, of course, I had to add some gems also! :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!
Libby :)
