Colorful Creations Jingle Bell Hop

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my first ever Colorful Creations Jingle Bell Hop.

You should have arrived here from Brandi's fantastic blog!  If you'd like to get back to the beginning of the hop, just click here.

Grab a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and enjoy all the inspirational projects sure to get you in the Christmas spirit!!

Christmas is my most favorite time of year.  It is the celebration of Christ's birth.  It's also a time
where everyone feels so giving.  The adults decorate the house, kids help to decorate the Christmas tree
and they are all giddy with the excitement.  Presents are placed under the tree, most times earlier than Christmas Eve and all sorts of goodies are baked.  Yum!

So, in celebration of the Christmas season we are hosting a Design Team Blog Hop.  Be sure to visit each member's blog and see all the inspiration they have for you.  There is only ONE project you are required to do and that is the CC Blog Hop Project which requires you to use the color combo below and create a Christmas project.  It can be a card, layout, mixed media or altered item.  The choice is yours.  If you decide on a layout, the photos do not need to be about Christmas, but the papers must be from the palette below.

Please use at least 3 colors from this combo.  You can also use them all.

Once your project is completed, please return to Colorful Creations, upload it to the gallery and be sure to tag it JBH2012 then upload it to this event.

Also, as you hop along the way you will find clue words on each of the Design Team Member's blogs.  Once you have gathered all the words, they will form a quote related to Christmas.  These words should be bolded on each team member's blog!  Tell us what the quote is by EMAILING it to me at ourcolorfulcreations@gmail.com and a chance to win an extra rak of scrap goodies.

The winner of the hop will be randomly selected and will win the beautiful Prima collection below:
(Embellishments will vary)

Here are the rules for playing along.

1.  You MUST be a member of Colorful Creations.

2.  You must become a follower of each C.C. team member's blog AND leave a comment on each blog.

Please make sure you visit the entire team today as some members are hosting additional blog challenges during the hop and offering their own extra goodies for you.  So, the more you play, the more
chances you have to win!

All blog hop entries are due by midnight, CST, December 20, 2012.

And now for a couple of inspiration projects that I have for you today.  If you haven't completed all your Christmas shopping, then I'm hoping this will spark an idea or two for you.  A gift at Christmas, especially hand made, is sure to bring a smile to their face.

Here is my embossed, layered card.  The shapes were cut using my Nestabilities dies, then
embossed and adhered with pop dots for dimension.  Sheer ribbon and a glitter holly finished off the card.
So easy and the possibilities are endless.  This could be a super cute birthday card, thinking of you card or even a thank you card.

And another version of the layered card, using a couple more layers.

Layered ribbons are along the bottom of the card with a sentiment stamped and adhered with a pop dot.  The edges of the bottom paper was distressed.

And here's my final project.  A teeny tiny mini album with no photos and filled with a few of my favorites from the holidays: snowmen, snowflakes and ornaments.

The album was cut using the largest of my Nestabilities dies.  The edges were binded with a wide strip of ribbon.  Lots of ribbons, cute die cuts and wintery embellies were used.

And, for added fun, I will also be offering a prize.  All you have to do is leave a comment on my blog,
at the end of this post, and one random winner will be chosen.  I will draw the lucky comment on December 21st and announce it on my blog.  So check back then!  :)
Here is a partial photo of the prize:

I hope you enjoyed my projects.
Now hop on over to Anne's blog to see what she has in store for you.
Below is our lineup list in case you get lost along the way.  Have fun!!

Thanks for stopping by!
