Andrew

Hi there,
Is anyone getting bombarded with this huge snowstorm sweeping through the New England States?
I still can't figure out how it managed to miss us!  We're usually right in the middle of all the storms!  I'm glad we're not getting much.

Today's layout was submitted at About A Boy  for their very first February 1 challenge.
The challenge is to create a layout about the man/men in your life and use their name somewhere on the page.

Here's what I created using a sketch from Scrap-A-Little Sketches (#21):

This is our boy when he was 4 years old.  I can't believe he's now 20!!  This was his, what I call, "fake smile."  All the lady had to do was point the camera at him and he was all smiles.  It was the cutest thing ever!  There was no need for her to say, "Smile!"  He had that all under control.  :)

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Clear Title Stickers: Miss Elizabeth's
Ribbons
Buttons
Perfect Pearls Mists: Blue Smoke
Mister Huey's Color Mists: Shine

All the papers were misted (except the strip of paper with the name on it).  The name strip was also the only paper piece that was distressed along the edges.
I chose the button colors from the paper colors and added them randomly on the page.

I found this large brown and blue striped button in my button stash... perfect for this page!  I threaded ribbon through it (which wasn't easy) and knotted it.

Clear letter stickers spell my little man's name.  Wait... he's not a "little man" anymore... but he was at the time this photo was taken!  :)

After misting the center of the page I tipped it up and banged it on the desk to make the drips travel downward.

Ribbon was added above and below the photo and paper strips to "frame" everything in.

Thanks for stopping by!
