Yum

Hi there,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Sketches With Color for their April 1st Sketch and Color Palette Challenge.

Here's the sketch:

And here's the color palette.  I loved these colors and had to play along!

Here's what I created:
This is our daughter and a portion of our son several years ago... having a piece of yummy cake!

The background paper looks blue.... but it's really TEAL.  Sorry about that... not sure what happened.

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, DCWV, Other
Texture Paste: Home Made
Stones Stencil
Distressing
Ink: Blue
Sharpie marker
Stitches Template
Mister Huey's Mist
Wilton Color Mist
Sanding
Clear Stickers Title
Gems: Home Made
Rosettes: Home Made
Flowers
Swirls Stamps

The paper edges were distressed and I added a flower/gem on top of that.  A swirl stamp was added in the upper corner.  This photo give you a better look at the misting too.

Here's my flower grouping.  The rosettes are what I made and the gems are my newest creations... so fun to make!  I added a few gems around the flowers too.

I used a stitches template to create the border on the background page.  There are lots of layers and distressing.

I added teal colored clear stickers as my title.

A couple swirls were stamped just under the flowers.  The center strip of cardstock was already embossed and I gently brushed it with a sanding block so they would stand out a bit more.

Another swirl stamp was added in the lower right of the photo.

Here's a closer look at the rosette and heme made gems.

I decided to play around with my own texture paste again and used my stones stencil.  I misted the paste with teal mist, mixed it up and made the stones.  Once it dried I misted it.  Love how it turned out.

A closer look at the texture "stones."

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day!
