Soccer 2-page Layout

Hi there,

Well, it's snowing!!!!  Yuck... 

It's cold and I have to wear a t-shirt (and no sweatshirt)... to get some air to my stitches.  Brrrrrr!

Yeah, I'm a tad bit cold!  Guess I should have gotten these moles removed in the SUMMER, right?

Anyhow, I have a 2-page layout to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Anything Goes With 2 Pages Challenge (2page).  You can see the challenge here.

The challenge is to create a 2-page layout, use at least 1 photo on each page and add flowers.

I am so not crazy about completing 2-page layouts!  I still can't believe that it's the only layouts I would do way back when!  Ugh!

This 2-pager is titled, "Soccer."

Our grandson's soccer games this Fall.  Not to brag or anything... but he's such a super soccer player!!  Love watching him play!

I used several mats and finished with an embossed mat where the number and soccer ball were added.  The "7" was hand drawn.

The page title sticker was also matted several times.  Soccer balls were randomly above it!

The tag was home made and a soccer sticker placed on it.  Ribbon was stapled at the top and the tag was tucked under the photo.  Soccer ribbon was added along the top.

I found more soccer ribbon and used it across both pages just below the photos.

Scraps of papers were used for the banners and a couple of flower buttons with twine knotted through them were placed randomly on the banners.

The other flower button.  Soccer ball stickers were also placed randomly on the banners.

And I couldn't resist taking a photo of my favorite photo.... 

As Lynn and I were waiting for them to listen to the coach after the game, I grabbed my camera to take a shot of the team... and Dylan saw me pointing the camera in his direction.... up goes his arm, straight in the air, waving like crazy at us!  It was the cutest thing ever... and I was so HAPPY to get a pic of it!!

Clear stickers were added on a couple of the photos.  This one says, "Breakaway" and he looks like he's the only one on the soccer field... breaking away from all the others!

Another clear sticker was added to this photo.  Love this photo too... 

He's not afraid of anyone on the other teams and can hold his own on the field!  Watch out (tall kid), here comes Dylan... and he got the ball!!  Woo hoo!

Halloween Card

A Different Kind of Halloween Card

Hi there,

I have a card to share with you that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Thrifty Challenge - Saving Paper (Thrifty).  You can see the challenge here.

The challenge is to create a project, saving paper... and show the product before you began your project as well as the finished project.

This is the packaging I used... from a stencil that I purchased.  I've been keeping various packaging if it has a cool pattern on it or random words.

And here's my Halloween card.  

I simply folded the cardstock in half... so the decorative edge is on the right.  The background was misted with Walnut Ink and then I decorated.  I did use some paper... but not as much had it been totally from scratch.  Very fun challenge!

Fearless

Hi there,

Guess I'm not walking today!  It's so cold!  Gusty winds and only in the 40's!

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Colorful Creations for their Sketchy Tuesday (STOCT4) Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.

And this is my layout titled, "Fearless."

This is our grandson, riding his motorcycle in the July 4th Parade a few years ago.  He was riding with one of his friends, who was on his own motorcycle.  They were riding behind our Boy Scout Troop... so I got to see him every now and again!  So stinkin' cute!!

The stitched circles were creating using a circle template and "stitching" around it.  Various stickers were clustered onto cardstock stickers.

Ribbon was added on each end of the page title.

I watched a tutorial on making my own background paper... and just had to give it a try.

You'll have to stay tuned... I have photos of how I created my own fun backgrounds.

A Bootiful Night

It's a chilly one out there!  And it's only going to get colder... Bleh!

Hello,

It's time for another Quote Challenge (QC29) that I am hosting over at Soul Scrappers.  Head on over there and check it out.  You have three weeks to submit your entry in the Gallery.  The deadline for entries is November 11th.

I finally found  three gems that were the same size and added them above the photo.

The sticker was matted a couple times.

The quote was printed onto pp, the shape cut from a template and then adhered with pop dots.

A row of bling was added under the quote and across the page.

The flowers are home made except for the pink rosette in the center of the white flower.  The gems are home made.

And here's my little Jiminy Cricket!  I couldn't resist adding this tiny sticker on my page!  He was adhered onto cardstock, trimmed and adhered with pop dots.

Another Halloween Card

Hello,

Here's another cards that was submitted at Turtle Soup for their October Mini Crop - Sher's Challenge.

This challenge is to use a "real" leaf on your project.

Here's my Halloween card:

The "real" leaf is just under the sentiment.

The background orange was embossed.  The ghost/pumpkins is a rub on and the gems are home made.
