Happy Together

Hi there,

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Colorful Creations for The "E" + 2 Challenge (enov).  You can see the challenge here.

This is the layout to "LIFT" two embellies or elements from (and state what you "lifted"... Plus add word(s) on banner.

Here's my layout titled, "Happy Together."
I took this pic of us while we were 4-wheeling a couple of months ago.  Fun times!

Rub on words were added on the banners.
I lifted more than two elements:  Bling, Flower(s), misting.

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, Other
Ribbon
Flowers
Rub on Words
Vellum Quote
Swirly Bling: Home Made
Gems: Home Made
Walnut Ink Mist
Cardstock Word
Sketch: Page Maps

The ribbon was too wide, so I cut it in half and also cut a smaller strip to make the bow.  Scissors were used to curl the ends of the ribbon!  A couple flowers were added to the right of the photo.

Flowers were added beside the quote and reads:
" My travels let me to where I am today.  Sometimes these steps have felt painful, difficult, but led me to greater happiness and opportunities."  - Diana Ross

Home made bling was places in several spots on my page.  The gems in the flower centers are home made also.

The upper portion of my page was misted and a couple of swirls added.

A closer look at the banners and two of them with rub ons.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is my layout titled, "Cherish."
The challenge word for Nov. is "Cherish" which I used as my page title.

This was such a wonderful time... when our daughter came home after being deployed overseas for six months... and wanted this to be the surprise of her son's life!!  And it was!!  We were so happy to have been a part of this!!  Her friends were too!  It was truly a moment to cherish forever!!

Supplies used:
Paper: Me & My Big Ideas, Colorbok
Darice Embossing Folder
EK Success Border Punch
Glittery Swirls & Flowers
Sentiment Sticker: Marcella By K

Sketch: Page Maps (Sept 2013)

Love, love, love this glittery swirls... with bling too!
I used a punched border just under the swirls.

The title sticker was matted onto B&W cardstock with two glittery flowers added.

Another look at the beautiful swirls and dimension.

Hope you can play along too!

The color palette:
The theme is Fall.

And here's my "Autumn Colors" layout:
Here's a look at the beautiful scenery as I'm driving into town.  I can never get enough of the wonderful colors!

I used all the colors from the palette.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Kraft
Fiskars Border Punch
EK Success Border Punch
Chenille Ribbon
Sticker Page Title
Sheer Ribbon
Leaves Stencil
Walnut Ink Mist
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
Glitter Leaves
Gems: Home Made
Pop Dots
Sketch: Page Maps

A couple of glitter leaves were added just below the photo.

Three gems are beside the photo.  The page title is above the punched edge.

I recently purchased this leaves stencil and couldn't wait to use it!  So glad it turned out ok the first time around!  :)

Chenille ribbon was threaded through the punched slots.

Max Loves Popcorn!

Hi there,

I have a layout to share with you that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their November 1st Sketch Challenge (NOVsketch1).  You can see the challenge here.

The sketch:

And here's my layout titled, "Max Loves Popcorn!"
While I was eating popcorn, Max was SO interested and kept trying to jump on my lap... so I gave him one... not really thinking more about it.  BUT... he absolutely LOVED it!  So, we both were eating popcorn!  I just had to hold this one piece in front of him while I took the photo.  Look at that sweet little nose!  He's such a cute little character!

Supplies used:
Paper: Me & My Big Ideas
Stampin' Up! Border Punch
3D Border Sticker
Clear Stickers
Pop Dots
Sticker Letters
Photo Corner Stickers
Tickets
Staples
Circle Punch
Stick Pin

Here's a look at the upper portion of embellies on the left of my page.  The dog tag was matted onto two different pp and then on a larger cardstock circle.  The little bone was adhered onto cardstock, trimmed and added with a pop dot for some dimension.  I wrapped a banner around the stick pin.  Two tickets were staples together.

Just below the tickets I added more clear stickers.

Love these borders!  The 3D bones border was added under the photo.  And the cute little strip of doggie prints that I found in my stash and just had to use on my page!

On the bottom rectangle strip, I adhered a dog with pop dots and added a ball sticker too.

Here's a closer look at the left side of my page.

And another look at the dimension.  Part of the page title was added under the photo and the rest of the title was added on the right of the border strips.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye, White Cardstock
Prima Flowers
Ribbon
Darice Embossing Folder
Rub on Sentiment
Gems: Home Made
Sketch: Splitcoast Stampers (SC423)

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Card

Hello,

I have a different kind of card to share using a different technique.  I'm not sure if I like it... but I gave it a whirl anyhow and this is what I came up with.

Here's my Thanksgiving card that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Black Magic Card Challenge (CC22).  You can see the challenge here.
I have never used the white ink pad that I've had forever!  I hurried up the drying process with my heat gun, then started coloring.  The sentiment was stamped with the white ink also and then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
White Pigment Ink
Watercolor Pencils
Distressing
Twine: American Crafts
Sentiment: Inkadinkadoo
Clear Embossing Powder
Stamp: SU Always on my Mind
Sketch: Splitcoast Stampers (SC405)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
